Appointment Q & A

Can you provide a free phone call prior to an initial consultation (the first meeting)?

I don’t offer phone calls prior to the first meeting. However, I will be happy to address any question you have during an initial consultation. (Visit Therapy Q&A to find out more about an initial consultation.)

How do I set up an appointment?

Please first review Therapy Q&A to ensure what I provide fits your therapy needs: there are services I do and don’t provide. Whatsapp me at 91474234 and indicate what kind of therapy you are seeking (adult, couples, teen or child).

What is your cancellation policy?

During the initial consultation period I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If after the initial consultation period (which is typically 3 sessions long) we decide to continue with treatment then I will reserve a time for you each week. You will be responsible for that time. Missed sessions will be charged.

Do you handle insurance claims?

I am sorry I don’t handle insurance matters. But a receipt will be issued to you at end end of each month which you could be used for insurance purposes.

How do I prepare for my 1st appointment?

After we schedule a time, I will send you a document to review and sign.  Please fill it out and send it back to me to confirm your time slot. Without the signed form I won’t be able to provide services.

What if I have questions about therapy that I want to ask?

If you have general questions about therapy, please visit Therapy Q & A.

If you have questions/concerns specific to your situation that are not answered on my website, we will address them in our initial consultation session.

You might also consider the list of mental health service providers under “Other Resources” on my Location page.  There, you will find condition-specific services and some free and low-fee service providers.  Remember, help is available and you don’t have to deal with your difficulties alone.

What do I do when I arrive for my appointment?

When you arrive please let the reception know that you are here to see Dr. Bertie.  Have a seat in the waiting area and I will pick you up at our scheduled time.
